I found out about Bob and Sue Negen’s book from a Facebook page I’m on. This is a private page for folks in the Christian Bookstore business. Well, I’ve read many books on business, but NEVER one like this one. After I read about passing about gift certificates I knew I’d struck gold! I’ve passed out so far about 25 certificates and had a few come back already. What I love about it is if you pass out a certificate to someone, and it doesn’t get used, what are you out? NOTHING! Fantastic idea.
I’ve also started the 6 box program in my store. And I’m going to do an Easter promotional with my email customers. Just have to decide the best time to do it.
So my “moment” occurred when this book that I’d ordered got into my hands. I’m almost done with it. Fantastic ideas that cost next to nothing. Just what I needed.
Wendy, I’m excited YOU’RE excited! Keep applying my strategies, and thanks for your comment!
For me it was seeing Bob speaking at a convention and told the story of Gift Certificates. It totally changed the price objections from prospective customers. I was in a commodity price driven business, limo service in the greater NJ/NY area. Once I mastered using gift certificates I used the Retail Mastery System to consistently train myself and my staff to deliver a consistent higher level of service. Of course attending the Retail Success Summit supercharged it all and now o am happily retired after selling my business at a premium selling price
Bill, I appreciate your comments! Your story is a great one!
