This Episode: 5 Kinds Of Promotions For Your Store
If you ever get caught in the trap of running too many sales in your store, then this episode of Real Retail TV is for you! In working with thousands of independent retailers just like you, one of the things I know for a fact is that the best retailers have lots and lots of promotions. They have a robust calendar full of interesting, fun, crazy things that they can do to drive people into the store. Promotions are important and they should not always be sales.
If you want more fantastic ideas for (successful, profitable, tested) promotions and special events then I want to invite you to join the Retail Marketing Club! Now through Tuesday, August 31st at 3:00 PM Eastern Time (when we go LIVE for our next monthly meeting), you can join for ONLY $3 for your first 30 days and only $49 a month after that. It’s basically like trying out the group for FREE then paying less than $2 per day. Less than a cup of coffee. Less than lunch. Less than any number of things you might be spending money on right now.
Thanks Bob for another great session. We are just in the process of having an all-in staff meeting where we are planning our promotional calendar and strategy after being in a national lockdown. This content has been a great catalyst to get things rolling. Thanks again.
Thanks for the feedback, Stephen! And you’re welcome!
Another great event or value-added (for us) has been weekly demos that are free to our customers. Because of COVID we have moved them from on-site demos to Facebook Live. They are all related to “how-tos” for either product or process (we are a woodworking business). And we promote both product and our classes/seminars during the demos. The in-person demos drove in a lot of immediate purchases. Facebook live drives a lot of inquiries that we convert to phone orders.
Great job, Carroll! Thanks for sharing!
