This Episode: Stress, Overwhelm, & Burnout… Oh My!
The holiday season is ripe for stress and overwhelm, especially for store owners so I would like to encourage you to shift your perspective. It’s easy to start comparing numbers to previous years and get discouraged. But what you need to realize is just how far you’ve come. You are playing the long game.
These last few years have caused problems and challenges, but you’re still here. Remember that this time of year is supposed to be fun! Let it go and let yourself enjoy being a retailer during the holidays.

I have been using the Holiday Happiness Tracker since the beginning of December. Really helps. I am happy, joyful and customer appreciates the vibe I have. Yes, numbers are not like last year but just trying to get threw the holiday sane. Thank you for the constant advises. Sometimes it just the thing I need to bright up my day.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year🎄
Thanks for sharing, Guylaine! Glad I can help! Happy holidays!
This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning! I once heard a quote “comparison is the thief of all joy” – I try to remind myself of this often but have but sometimes get caught in the comparison game. Thank you for the reminder 😊
That quote is excellent! You’re welcome, Sharolyn!
Thank you therapist Bob. So true to let it go.
You’re welcome, Lori. Not a therapist, just been there!
You are always so encouraging ! Thank you for that. Business is good. So I should be content. I think the problem is the pandemic taught me that it can turn on a dime and I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. Having fun in the day to day, but can never really shake that feeling. Thanks again for all your kind words. Entrepreneurs have to stick together!
Loretta, remember what you have control of and what you don’t. Glad to hear business is good and you’re having fun! And you’re welcome!
It’s like Bob makes these just for me! This is exactly what I needed to hear this morning! Thank you 😊
LOL, I DO make them just for you… and others like you! You’re welcome, Elaine!
