Hey. It’s Bob Negen. And in this episode of Real Retail TV, we’re going to explore this idea that when times are uncertain, what you do and how you do it is going to have an absolutely, a huge impact on the success you’re going to have.

Susan and I were in a mastermind with a brilliant entrepreneur named Chris Knight. And over dinner one night, Chris said this to me and it was really, really loved it. Chris said, you know, Bob, in the beginning of a business, the more you do, the more you make.

But there comes a time in a business where the more you think, the more you make. And since you can’t think and do at the same time, at least not very efficiently, it becomes important that you think more and do less.

This is very important right now in uncertain times.

When times are uncertain, stress levels go up, your brain starts to work in overtime, and your ability to make good decisions goes way down. Right? You’re doing too much. You’re thinking too much when in actuality, what needs to happen is you need to step back, think about things, make a clear plan, and then move forward as calmly as you possibly can.

So, one of our platinum mastermind group members, Maureen Doran, had a great quote about how she’s handling things. And she said that, a wise friend of hers said that it’s important to have a plan b and depending on your personality, a plan c.

But what you don’t want to do is catastrophize things. You don’t want to take these problems that are in the economy right now and blow them up into your head in your head into a catastrophe.

You want to be able to recognize that we don’t know what’s gonna happen. It’s whiplashing, isn’t it? One day there’s a tariff announcement, the next day there’s a pause. One day they go up, one day they go down. It can drive you mad. But the secret to being successful in times like this is to be calm, to think about it rationally, to act, don’t react.

So that’s, the tip for this week. The the my suggestion to you is to recognize, don’t get too wound up in the news.

Take things as they come.

Yes. You want to be aware of what is happening.

You want to make a contingency plan or two because things continue to change.

But you don’t want to get so wrapped up in what might happen, what has happened, what could happen that it paralyzes you and keeps you from making good decisions.

And part of that is thinking more. Part of that is surrounding yourself with people who know more, who can give you advice that will help you move forward intelligently, which is why I wanna, you know, invite you to next Wednesday on the sixteenth at one PM. We’re going to have a panel of speakers from this year’s virtual retail success summit. And, again, smart people who have been where you are, giving you advice for how to successfully navigate where we are, this is the way to think more, do less, and get farther ahead.

So I’m going to suggest that you mark it off on your calendar, Wednesday, the sixteenth, one PM, a panel of speakers. And I also want to strongly encourage you to register for the virtual retail success summit. You don’t even need to get on a plane. Right now, it’s five hundred dollars off.

You get a double your money back guarantee.

If at the end of the first day, you don’t go, wow. My mind is being blown. Wow. I feel so inspired.

Wow. This is exactly what I needed. This is the perfect respite from all of the stress I’m experiencing, from all of this, uncertainty. Call us up. We’ll give you your money back plus five hundred dollars if you’re not thrilled with what you learn. You take absolutely no risk.
