This Episode: Between A Rock & A Hard Place
In this week’s Real Retail TV we’re going to talk about being stuck between a rock (the desire to move your business forward and start doing new things again) and a hard place (the need to rest). This is a constant battle for many retail store owners but the current pandemic has made it even more difficult!
Bob I was late watching this but today is the day I was supposed to watch. I have been in business since 2007 but I am always down on myself.
I have a quilt shop, and machine dealership and covid has been hard on us all but we have survived and God is good Thank you
Bonnie,
It’s easy to get down on yourself, I know. I hope you found this message helpful!
Bob
Thank you so much for the inspiration. I have pushed so hard through these last several months I feel like a year has past yet I also feel like it’s still April. After the retail summit, which was wonderful, I finally took a full day off. As I floated in the lake I thought about all the things we have accomplished since opening the store in April of 2019. The list was much longer than I thought it would be and I’m grateful. That in itself has inspired me to go back to the Retail Mastery System and start again lesson by lesson. So thank you again and keep preaching!

I think you should go into the ministry, your sermons would be fantastic. You have such a great style of getting the point across. Thank You
Thanks Pam! BTW… My father was a minister so I spent lots of time listening to sermons (:

Bob, being in business for one year, I was hoping that year 2 would be better than last year. IT HAS BEEN, and I have been blessed to carry on. My rock is my customers are able to send flowers and balloons during our height of the pandemic, the hard place has been no walk in traffic. I have flowers and retail. My retail has been difficult to move; even thru social media venues. With that said I am thankful and I continue to look for new ways to entice the walk in traffic. I never closed and I will continue to let my customers know, I am here when they need me. It has been rewarding and challenging, but so is life. We will get thru this….we are Americans and we are strong. Thank you for keeping us focused and giving us the reasons to get thru this.
Rickie,
Thanks for your comment. I am proud of your persevering spirit!
Bob
What a helpful message! I’m calm at home until I drive into the parking lot to work and then the anxiety begins. Being satisfied with where you are in the process is a lot of work! Thanks.
Thanks for your comment Ginger! Yes, being satisfied is a lot of work, but it’s good work (:
Bob
Very Wise.
Thanks Dixie!
This was absolutely just what we needed. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

This lesson is so needed right now for my wife and myself. Thank you for sharing.
I really need this right now, as I have not reopened. Though case are rising everyday, our community feels invincible and is fighting every mandate handed down from above. I hope to reopen someday, but the currant political division is more than I can take. Thank you.
Elaine,
I’m sorry to hear about your troubles. You’ll get through this!
Bob
