This Episode: How Changing A Single Belief Transformed A Business
In this episode of Real Retail TV, I sit down with Tammy Beideman from Sweet Elizabeth Jane in Ellicott City, Maryland to discuss how shifting her beliefs made all of the difference in her business. I am positive that watching this will help you become a better critical thinker who can identify, analyze, and solve problems.
What self-limiting beliefs are you holding onto about your business that you would like to change? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
Thanks for interviewing me Bob! I enjoyed sharing my experience and hope it helps someone else. When I first started realizing in order to grow my thinking needed to shift, I couldn’t have imagined how much it would snowball. All the things that I have immersed myself in over the last 2 years are starting to really sink in and it has been a transformative time in my life. I am very grateful for all the leaders who have helped me grow.
I had the same experience with high end resort dresses and I thought they would not sell. They actually did and at that moment I changed my belief. Thanks for sharing.
Beliefs are huge! When we first started putting high ticket items in the store I was skeptical. The median income in our area is very impoverished. However, our online store has picked up the slack as we’ve created both an offline AND online experience that sets us apart from big box collectible stores. I’m honestly shocked and pleased how much the more expensive items are selling. Our LTV has also increased with repeat customers buying larger items. It’s a belief I’m grateful to have been wrong about!
I am concerned about the significant increase of the wholesale prices on almost everything. Do I continue with my same mark-up or change?
